This season, PLEASE do not settle for the Snuggie or the "Forever Lazy" (I cannot even believe that it is called that). You need stylish lounge wear to slip into after filling your belly at Christmas and New Year! This outfit looks so comfy. I especially love it because it comes in larger sizes and 36" length. You know you want one. Get out of those tight clothes and get into something in special. I found this at Long Elegant Legs

Tall Plus Clothes Found--And They Are Cute Too!

As other tall, svelt girls know, it is really difficult to find cute clothing that comes in sizes larger than 18/20 and is 36" inseam or longer. Well I found a great site.
It is called Simply Tall (www.simplytall.net). These are a few of my favorite items. There are many more that go up to a size 24 and up to a 39" inseam! Tall gals, get your butts over to this site!

I Have Found My Holiday Travel Outfit!
I have been traveling a lot for work lately and have really come to realize how convenient it is when I do not need to iron clothing to wear after I unpack it. I love those no-iron shirts that look crisp and polished right out of the suitcase.
Well, I have stumbled upon my holiday travel outfit! I am planning on flying down to Florida to see my dad over the holidays and I have found an outfit that will look as good getting off the plane as it did getting on.
The crisp white shirt (no-iron) and the reversible (I know, can you believe it?!?) are from TravelSmith. If you have not checked out this site...you are missing out. Especially if you travel frequently. Their prices are reasonable and they carry larger sizes!
The black pants are from Alloy. I stumbled upon this site while looking for plus size tall pants. I own several pairs (cords, dress trousers and jeans) and LOVE them. Their sizing is different. They go up to size 25 which is the size that I order. Depending on the type of pant, a size 25 = size 22/24 (which is what I wear). The lengths come up to 37"!!!
I really like the fit of Alloy pants. However, truth be told, their prices are quite reasonable and quality-wise, you get what you pay for. These are not going to be pant that last you a long time. Just FYI :).
So, what will you be wearing for your holiday travels? Hopefully these resources will help you find some great options without every pulling out the iron. Enjoy!

Diggin' Johnny Was brand
Was zippin' around on Neiman Marcus and ran across the "Johnny Was" brand. This tunic is TOO CUTE! I love the colors and the style. The high waist is very flattering. The pattern around the neckline is COMPLETELY my style. Plus, you know the best thing? It is on sale!
It was $200.00 . Now it is $140.00.
YEAH! Oh and guess what? it comes in 2x and 3x. The 3x is all mine ladies!

LOVE It!

How fitting. Breast Cancer Awareness Month and finding pretty shirts for those of us with a fuller frame.
I am featuring this company because it has lovely shirts that go up to size 20. So, for all of you gals that are one size below me, choose away. Unfortunately, there were only two choices that that were offered in size 22. That is okay....I love the scarves!
I am confident that more Pink shirts will come in size 22 in the future. I will let you know when they do!

Svelt Size Prep
Hey girls,
Is anyone else out there wondering where all of the preppy clothes are in plus sizes? Oh, and don't even get me started on tall lengths. I fluctuate between a size 20-22 and need a 36" inseam (I am 6'3). I know....go ahead and say it.... "Wow! You are SO tall!!!!" It is still hard for me to believe it when people say this to me. In this day and age, people are tall. I am not sure how I am unique in our current society.
I am frustrated though, that I cannot find many of my favorite brands in plus and tall sizes. I honestly cannot believe that Brooks Brothers, Lilly Pulitzer, Vera Bradley and the like are not reaching out to this market yet. I am certain that there are many out there, like me, who would LOVE to be sporting one of the new Lilly shirts around town. The colors are so beautiful. My credit card wouldn't stand a chance if I found Lilly in my size.
Well, my goal for this blog is to search and share all of the items that I can find that fit my svelt, preppy style. I have not found much yet. But, it is my quest to find it. If I am not able to find a clothing item that I crave, I will absolutely share an accessory item. Hopefully, my style is something that you enjoy and I would love it if you would share your resources too!
Maybe decision makers from my favorite companies will run across this blog and realize that they are missing out on their piece of the pie in this market.
I look forward to sharing with you!
